Polycystic kidney disease is also known as Polycystic kidney syndrome. This is the disorder of the organs of kidney inside the body of the human beings which is characterized by enlarged kidneys which often leads to the condition of kidney failure. When the kidney grows in size and gets analyzed do to the disease of Polycystic kidney disease affecting the patient, the kidney starts containing many cysts and this is in fact a progressive disorder that grows and comes up slowly and gradually in the life of the patient.
Polycystic kidney disease has been found to be a genetic disorder which is genetically inherited and passed on among generations. The condition induces swelling in the kidneys as the cysts of different sizes starts accumulating in one of the kidneys or in both the kidneys at the same time.
